Our partner R2M Solution France, Régis Decorme & Sophie Dourlens Quaranta, were delighted to present the 6G-TWIN project at the 2026 ETSI AI and Data Conference, during a session chaired by Pavlos Fournogerakis, Deputy Head of Programmes at the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU).

The conference offered an excellent opportunity not only to connect with sister R&I projects but also to engage directly with ETSI staff and explore how 6G-TWIN, now in its final year, can contribute meaningfully to ETSI-led standardisation initiatives.

About the ETSI AI & Data conference

The ETSI AI and Data Conference – Bringing AI and Data Together took place in person from 9–11 February 2026 at the ETSI premises in Sophia Antipolis, France. This third edition of the conference expanded its traditional AI focus to include Data Management technologies, reflecting the growing intersection between AI and data-driven systems.

With European Standardisation Organisations actively contributing to policy implementation under the EU AI Act and the EU Data Act, the conference provided a detailed overview of current priorities in the AI and Data ecosystems and showcased how ETSI is responding to these evolving requirements. A dedicated session on Agentic AI addressed this emerging area from political, industrial, and societal perspectives.

Attendees gained insights into ongoing AI standardisation efforts, had the chance to contribute their perspectives, identify potential gaps, and exchange ideas for future projects. The event also featured demonstrations and posters highlighting cutting-edge advances in AI and Data applied to networks, digital systems, and vertical sector applications.

This exclusive face-to-face gathering offered ETSI members and non-members alike a unique platform to connect with experts and peers, and to obtain first-hand guidance on shaping the future of AI and Data in Europe.
