CONSORTIUM

About the consortium

11 partners from 8 Member States or associated Member States working together to advance 6G Research in Europe.

LIST, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology

The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a mission-driven Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) that develops advanced technologies and delivers innovative products and services to industry and society. These innovations can also be used to solve a number of societal challenges, particularly in the areas of the environment, security, education and culture, sustainable development, as well as the efficient use of resources.

LIST is the project coordinator of 6G-TWIN, and also leads the Network Digital Twins (NDT) modeling activities, the integration of Simulation Model and DT. LIST also leads the Remote / Teleoperated driving use-case.

IMEC

Imec is the world’s leading independent nanoelectronics R&D hub. The combination of our talent, infrastructure, and partner network enables breakthroughs towards microchips that are smaller, faster, more affordable, and more sustainable.

We combine that nanotech expertise with data and AI to create and support applications for a smarter, better future.

In 6G-TWIN, IMEC leads the 6G architecture design. It also leads the development of NDT models for network planning, management and control, as well as the Energy Savings use-case.

Politecnico di Bari

Polytechnic University of Bari is an Italian public University offering scientific and technological programmes.

The Polytechnic forms prospective architects, engineers and industrial designers and issues academic qualifications such as three-year Degree courses (I level), two-year Degree courses (II level), five-year Degree courses, Ph.D.’s as well as I and II level Postgraduate courses.

In 6G-TWIN, Politecnico di Bari leads evaluation, reengineering and standardisation activities.

Université de Bourgogne

uB fulfills a dual mission of education and research in all scientific fields. Located in Burgundy between Paris and Lyon, the city of Dijon is home to uB’s main campus, with several others spread across the region.

It offers 400 different degrees across all levels (Bachelor, Master, and PhD), employs 3,000 staff members, and enrolls 34,000 students, among whom more than 2,900 are international. Most programmes are taught in French, but a growing number are taught in English.

In 6G-TWIN, uB leads the network dynamics modeling (functional models) and is a key contributor to other NDT modeling tasks.

TU Dresden University of Technology

TU Dresden is one of the largest Universities of Technology in Germany, one of the eleven German Universities of Excellence, and is among the leading and most dynamic universities in the country.

With 17 Faculties across five Schools, it offers a widespread range of 119 degree programs and covers a broad spectrum of research. Its focuses on Life Sciences, Quantum Materials, Microelectronics, Tactile Internet, Materials Science, Data-Intensive and Digital Sciences, Circular Economy and Societal Change are considered exemplary across Europe.

In 6G-TWIN, TUD leads the open and secured management and simulation framework.
