Ion Turcanu, Head of Networking and Communications Group at LIST (the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology), recently contributed to the Workshop on Connected and Automated Mobility, hosted by MOST – Centro Nazionale per la Mobilità Sostenibile at the Università degli Studi “Mediterranea” di Reggio Calabria.

During the workshop, LIST presented our ongoing work on digital twins of next-generation mobile networks to support mobility related use-cases, sharing insights with the BISTWIN project. The talk addressed key challenges such as orchestration, interoperability, and scalability of digital twin solutions for connected and automated systems.

Complementary talks, including Michele Segata’s on reconfigurable intelligent surfaces for connected vehicles, highlighted the broad potential of advanced digital technologies for future mobility.

We warmly thank Claudia Campolo and the organizing team for a well-run workshop and the opportunity to exchange ideas with the community.
